Client representatives from Cameron International Corporation (CIC) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC ) were on hand for the ceremony as well as several QMW Board of Directors representatives from both McDermott and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) which are the companies that formed the Joint Venture company QMW.
QMW’s scope of work includes procurement, fabrication and transportation of two (2) Pipeline End Manifolds (PLEM), one (1) Central Manifold and two (2) Subsea Umbilical Termination Units (SUTU) that are all designed with a Fishing Protection System (FPS). They are to be installed as part of the CNOOC Panyu 35-1/35-2 Gas Field located in South China Sea at water depths from 190 to 340 meters.
This is the second deep water offshore solutions project that QMW has been able to contribute to. After delivery of an international project and with this soon to be completed local project, QMW is anxious to show the world that it can deliver “in multiple markets”, on schedule, with a high level Safety and Quality performance.
